Background
Alphonso Horne received his Masters of Music in Jazz Studies from the Juilliard School (’13) and received his Bachelors of Music in Trumpet Performance and Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Studies from Florida State University (’10).
Experience
Alphonso has served as a Guest Artist/Clinician at many notable workshops, currently he has a residency with Pops is Tops at the Louis Armstrong House Museum. Other workshops include: the Juilliard Jazz Workshop (’12-13), Vail Jazz Workshop (’14), University of North Carolina: Chapel Hill (’18), University of Wisconsin: Madison (’18), and Byron Center High School (’18). Currently he serves as an educator with Swing Central Jazz Festival and at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Jazz for Young People program.
